Senior Python Developer (Back-End API Development)

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer specializing in Back-End API Development to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Python Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable back-end APIs that power our applications. Your expertise in Python programming, API design, and best coding practices will be crucial to delivering high-quality software solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable back-end APIs using Python
• Implement RESTful API endpoints for seamless integration with front-end applications.
• Ensure optimal performance and scalability of APIs by writing clean, modular, and well-tested code
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Implement data security and access control mechanisms to protect sensitive information
• Optimize API endpoints for speed and responsiveness, considering factors such as data retrieval, caching, and request handling.
• Debug and resolve issues, bugs, and bottlenecks in the application's back-end logic
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in API development and Python programming.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers on technical matters and best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven track record of 4-7 years in back-end API development using Python.
• Strong expertise in Python programming and relevant frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django).
• Experience with API design principles, RESTful architectures, and API documentation.
• Proficiency in database design and interaction, including SQL and ORM technologies.
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, including Agile methodologies
• Problem-solving mindset and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to writing clean, maintainable code.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker) is a plus.
• Prior experience mentoring junior developers is advantageous.
